I-Doser willfully violating GPL copyright of SBaGen


It seems that the folks at I-Doser ( http://i-doser.com/ ) are trying to profit from a favorite GPL package of mine, SBaGen ( http://uazu.net/sbagen/ ). This is verified by running ’strings’ against their binary. Yet they give no credit, no source code, and seem to indicate that they invented everything. This offends me a great deal.


So I tried to reasonably inform them of this fact, without being hostile, to give them an opportunity to do the right thing. I posted a thread in their forums letting them know that this is based on GPL software, what the GPL is and legally what it requires of users.


In response they deleted my thread and my account. But I saved a couple snapshots of the thread before it happened, so here it is for posterity:
