I love old photos and photo-postcards. But this beauty found in a house on Staten Island I could not resist. It is a colored litho-engraving from a photograph.

It is postmarked 1916 and if it were European one might yawn. However it is American made and posted from Kansas City to Illinois.

The implication ofcourse is that all the men have gone off to war...(pity the poor bastards)
