"Latvia towards Knowledge Societies of Europe: new options for entrepreneurship and employment achieving the goals of the Lisbon strategy" (LNELS) is the development foresight initiative of Forward Studies Unit collaborating with partners of Latvia, EU and other countries.
The research is focused on "preferable futures" proposing a social technology related way to help both policy makers and citizens to better realise the Lisbon objectives and challenges of the European knowledge society. The LNELS methodology, process, and outputs are targeted at knowledgeable individuals who have commitment to enhance their strategic capabilities performing foresight activities at national, regional and European level.
