Crime fighting superheroes are no longer for the comic books and movies. Now a team of masked superheroes - who go by the name the “Allegiance of Heroes” has started to patrol the streets of Cincinnati and elsewhere, battling evildoers wherever they are found.
The superheroes carry pepper spray, stun guns and handcuffs but as yet do not exhibit any actual superpowers. There’s even a global network of caped crusaders organized through the online World Superhero Registry.
Ranging from Insignis in Salt Lake City to Black Arrow (pictured above) in the U.K., there are 26 active heroes in the registry. Each has their own costume and, of course, most have a blog.
