( What - you used one of those +44 70** numbers thinking you were calling London? Check your bill to see which country your call was forwarded to and please let us know. )

These pages carry a sizeable list of the names and titles attached to some of the criminally motivated junk mail you may have received. The criminals invent new identities every day but many of them use the techniques described here. Well done, you were right to be suspicious!


Australian Lottery, but based in Canada? If a cheque arrives - beware. Do not send money via Western Union or MoneyGram after receiving such a cheque. Remember, it can take more than a month for a foreign cheque to clear.
