The Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force is on the hunt for a woman who has been dubbed the "Grandma Bandit."

The woman is wanted in connection with the Wednesday robbery of a US Bank inside the Safeway at 989 Sunrise Avenue in Roseville.

Investigators said she presented a note demanding money from the teller, and later showed a handgun in her purse.

According to a news release from the FBI, she is a white female, 65 to 70 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130 to 145 pounds with light brown hair that has been dyed and permed.

She was pictured in a surveillance video wearing reading glasses and a purple jacket, the FBI said.
