Great Planes RealFlight Simulator G3.5 vs G4/G4.5
The Great Planes RealFlight Simulator allows the RC flier to practise flying remote control aircraft - planes and helicopters - on their home computer, either using a real Futaba controller or their own transmitter. The question for many RC fliers is how to decide which version of the program to use.
It might seem that the obvious choice for your Great Planes RealFlight Simulator is always the latest version - at the time of writing, version 4.5. The obvious choice, however, is not always the right one.
Later versions of the Great Planes RealFlight Simulator require significantly higher system specifications than the workhorse Great Planes RealFlight Simulator G3.5 version, particularly in the areas of RAM, hard drive space, and dedicated video RAM.
