A drunk woman caused chaos when she hijacked a horse-drawn wedding carriage and ran down a one-legged man on a mobility scooter.
The shire horses were standing outside a pub when the woman and her daughter clambered aboard and whipped them into bolting.
They knocked a disabled man off his scooter and ran over one of the horses' owners as the animals headed off down the road.
The animals - which weigh nearly a tonne each - wrote off a parked car and damaged beyond repair the £10,000 carriage they were pulling.
The incident happened at 7pm on Sunday outside the Good Companion pub in Roderick Avenue, Peacehaven.
The horse and carriage had been hired for a Sikh wedding at the town's Meridian Centre.
"Two girls decided to get on the back of the carriage, pick up the whip and strike the horses across the back.
"They ran over my wife and an old boy on a mobility scooter.
One of the horses was slightly injured, while the carriage was permanently damaged
