Here, the tradition of the flame of Canigou and the fire of Midsummer's Day is very early transmitted to the children in particular thanks to the folk group of the Catalan Dancers of St-Laurent-of-Cerdans. This year, they are the schoolboys who had the privilege to accomodate the flame on his arrival with Central, Tuesday, around 16 h. They entonnèrent as a Catalan a song of welcome for this luminous symbol of peace which wavered in its lantern and they listened to the explanations of Joan Iglesias, ambassador of the language and the culture Catalan women.
Towards 8 p.m., the group of the dancers, small and large, led the flame, held by young people, towards the place of the station where, at the fallen night, fire blazed up. Meanwhile, there had been time to regale spectacle offered by the folk group (which accomodated three recruits "adult": Sabrina Canton, Claude Fernandez and Jacques Marti).
