CALGARY -- Moments before he was slain by his preteen daughter's adult boyfriend, a Medicine Hat man asked "why?" a court heard yesterday.

His killer's response was "because your daughter wanted it that way," a prosecutor told a Calgary jury.

"Mr. Steinke was overheard to say to other prisoners that he did his girlfriend's mother and father and that she did her brother," Robins said.
