It’s captioned, "A heavy haze could be seen in Beijing in August 2007. Two recent studies call for a heightened global effort to reduce carbon emissions."
But carbon dioxide is a colorless and odorless gas that is incapabale of producing such haze (aka smog).
To paraphrase Shakespeare [Romeo and Juliet, Act II, Scene II], "But soft what nonsense through yonder newspaper breaks. It is BS, and Juliet is the fool…"
