The gigantic abandoned general store and gas station at Lockhart,
CA. Canon 20D. Night, full moon, 4 minute exposure, available
light only. Sodium vapor bounce on the clouds is from the Los
Angeles metroplex, 75 miles away.

2006
The pump island at the dead truckstop in the completely abandoned
"town" of Coaldale in west-central Nevada. Night, full
moon, mercury vapor light (the green cast), purple- and red-gelled
flashlight. 4 minute exposure, give or take. Canon 20D.
GIANT
ORANGE
1995
Along central California's old Highway 99, this peculiar old round
OJ Stand was replaced by a shiny new square building a quarter
mile further down the road. The old one was left to molder. 160T
film, night, full moon, 8 minute exposure, red and green-gelled
strobe flash.
