MASTER sledger Sourav Ganguly has warned the stunned world champions India are gunning for their No. 1 crown, which has suddenly been jolted loose.

"Australia is still the No. 1 team in the world but I think we have a very good side that could be No. 1," Ganguly said.

"I don't want to talk about the past but I feel we were very unlucky not to win in Sydney. We were happy to win in Perth and we think we can level the series."

Former Indian batting great Sunil Gavaskar insisted the Perth

miracle must rank as one of India's greatest triumphs.

"To win over here, this has got to be without doubt the greatest win Indian cricket has had over the last 35 to 40 years," Gavaskar said.
