Funding Helps Northwestern Ontario Attract Investment

Through its Northern Communities Investment Readiness initiative, the Ontario government provided a total of $92,600 to projects that have helped create, attract, and support investment opportunities across the northwest and into the Far North.  The funds were used for projects such as inventories, analyses, reports, and workshops geared towards attracting business to communities in the region.

“Our funding helps communities attract new business investment throughout the North,” said Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle. “Northwestern Ontario has much to offer private sector developers and entrepreneurs, and we must make every effort to communicate this potential to the investment community.”
