FBI agent Kyle Loven did a double take when chatter about a bank robbery came over his radio.

Loven and another agent were discussing a robbery that happened Tuesday morning at a TCF Bank inside a Cub Foods store in West St. Paul when the call came in that the same bank had been hit again.

“We looked across at each other and said is that address correct? Did we hear that right?”

Police and FBI agents were first called to the store at 2021 South Robert St. at 9 a.m.

A few hours later they were back on the scene investigating a second robbery, which happened about 1:50 p.m.

the robberies don’t appear to be related.
